Thanks to a generous grant from the New York State Music Fund, Public Knowledge was able to put together an online copyright tutorial for musicians, which you can find at NYMusicCopyright.org. The tutorial covers everything from sampling, to major label contracts to alternative methods of distribution. I helped write the text for the site, by which I mean that I insisted that Lil’ Wayne be held up as an example of a musician who’s good at the Internet.
