This week, I reviewed the 10th anniversary reissue of Something About Airplanes for PopMatters. I know that it’s decidedly uncool to admit to liking Death Cab For Cutie in this day and age but I fucking love that record and I’m only mildly ashamed to admit that. Also, it’s worth noting that the DCFC boys really are the nicest dudes in indie rock. While I could easily bore you with tales of chatting up Chris Walla at the Fireside Bowl (alas, there was a time when casually name-dropping Chris Walla during a conversation would have made me seem ‘hip’), instead, I’ll just point you to the review. Fuck the haters!
