This year, I rang in the New Year by flying to Chicago and making a longtime dream come true: seeing Midwestern alt-rock legends Hum with my brother. You see, the two of us barely missed seeing Hum 10 years ago and never forgave ourselves, as the band broke up shortly thereafter.
