I wouldn’t exactly call myself a fan of the Arcade Fire—sure, I enjoy Funeral as much as the next guy but I haven’t really dug most of the stuff they’ve done since. Even so, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to see the monsters of indie-rock fresh off of their coronation at Madison Square Garden (also, Spoon!). I will say that I enjoyed the show quite a bit more than I had expected to and that a number of songs from The Suburbs—particularly the delightfully bass-heavy “Ready to Start”—have turned up in my heavy rotation since.
